the skills you can learn:

Balls
Most members have a high level of solo ball juggling skill, and a vast array of tricks in their arsenal. We have not failed yet to teach a single person to juggle. Most people think that they will never learn to juggle, but with some coaching and patience everyone does.

Clubs/Blades/Torches
Again most current members have a good level of solo club juggling skills, and a vast array of tricks in their arsenal. Most members indulge in fire torch juggling and a few members have given in to the temptation of juggling knives. Juggling clubs is the natural progression from balls and once three balls has been learnt juggling clubs is not such a dramatic step forward

Passing/Feeding/Stealing
The whole idea behind most juggling clubs is so we can juggle with other like minded people. Passing is the most sociable of juggling past times. Gently tossing clubs to one another in various guises is the major driving force behind tomfoolery. Feeding and stealing are just more variations of the multiple juggler trick category.

Diabolo
Most people have seen one being used or even own one, but never know what they are called. Possibly one of the hardest things to describe and one of the easiest to learn the basics of. Myron has attempted to describe it here.

And it did come to pass that those who played with yo-yo questioned, "Would it not add a new dimension to our performance if the yo-yo could leave the string ?"
And lo, the idea of the diabolo was born. And jugglers gazed upon it and saw that it was good.
But then these new diabolists turned to one another and asked, "Is there anything else we can do except throw it really high into the air and catch it again ?"
And so they racked their brains and invented many new and exciting tricks.
And they gazed upon them and saw that they were good.
But the public cared not for these new and exciting tricks, crying out, "Go on, throw it really high into the air again !"

Thank you Myron.

Club swinging/Poi
The gentle art of club swinging is lesser practiced skill, however there are those at tomfoolery that practice this skill along side its little sister, 'Poi'. Poi is basically a weighted object on a length of string or chain held in the hand and spun around the body. Usually there is one poi per hand and the weighted object has a tail of ribbon or other material

Cigar Boxes
Cigar box performers are a dying breed, and some say they are prime candidates for euthanasia, but tomfoolery's wide skill base includes those funny shaped boxes dancing around as if they where on wires. Cigar boxes classically consist of three boxes that are held in front of the body and moved into new positions and formations with out dropping them on the floor

Staff
Some of the guys have just watched Darth Maul too many times and now think they are part of the darkside. Staff work is another rare talent that tomfoolery has to offer those willing to learn.

Unicycle/Giraffe
Quite self explanatory really, learn to ride one wheeled transport and the tallest of all African mammals.
Tomfoolery's unicyclists have spawned a new group called EMU (East Midland Unicyclists). More details of what the EMUS guys and girls get upto can be found here.
hats

Hat Manipulation
Don't ever invite these guys to wedding they'll spend all day knocking their own hats off and replacing them in increasingly different and complex manners all to the silky tunes of Frank Sinartra

Stilts
Stilt walking adds more height to your juggling but makes picking up after dropping a nightmare

Whip
We getting quite kinky now. Cracking a bullwhip is quite a talent and a couple of the members of the juggling club will show you how to break the sound barrier in a amusing variety of ways.

Lasso
Not technically a circus skill, but it is another manipulation skill that can be thought by members of tomfoolery

Spinning plates
A true circus skills classic. The skill of getting a plate to spin on the end of a stick is one of the easiest circus skills you can learn. To start with its very frustrating, but you get the knack quickly and wonder why you found it so hard ten minutes ago

Devil stick
A prop that seems popular with medieval jesters, that consists of the devil stick its self which is weighted towards either end and two hand sticks. The skill is to push the devil stick from one hand stick to the other. Also known as a stunt stick or flower stick.

Rola Bola
Also known as a balance or teeter board. It basically consists of a wooden board which is then balanced un a hollow pipe. Keeping you balance whilst standing on the board is quite an achievement

Contact juggling
Juggling is normaly done by tossing the balls into the air. Contact juggling, however usually involves a single ball being rolled over the jugglers hands, arms and the rest of their body. This is a highly skilled discipline that looks incredible when done to a high standard

Kendama
Originally a childrens toy, but mastering all the moves and balances has become a full time hobby for many people. For more information and Tomfoolery members gradings please click here.

Footbag
you wont find it hard to find someone at the club to play hacky sac or footbag with
